Welcome to the Writers Club Pakistan website.

Writers Club Pakistan is the initiative taken by the renowned language and literature specialist Mr. Akbar Hoti to provide online writing services in Pakistan. The club is working under 6-members management committee that manages club activities and formulate policies for the club. The online services of Writers Club Pakistan include registration of writers, searchable writer’s directory, latest articles, club news, WCP award and detailed information about new upcoming books.

Management Committee

A management committee is managing the Writers Club Pakistan website. The management committee consists of 6 members including the Chairman.

Mr. Akbar Hoti (Chairman – Management Committee)

The Chairman of Writers Club Pakistan is a professional writer and language & literature specialist. He has over 20 years of experience in the field of literature and founder of the Institute for Cultural & Civic Education (ICCE). He worked with Government, national and international organizations for promoting culture and literature in Pakistan. He is currently pursuing his PhD in literature from the University of Peshawar.

Hoti has more than 12-year experience conducting civil and criminal case proceeding including courts appearance consultation, drafting, recording of evidence, arguments, spot inspection on behalf of courts and interpretation of enacted laws, constitution, legislation of Parliament and any other related legal matters. He is also working as a Presenter-Legal Affair for Peace Channel Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Radio FM 92.6 Mardan since March 2011 to aware people about different legal issues. He has over 15-year experience as a freelance writers and has also established a local Non-Profit organization, the Institue for Cultural & Civic Education.

Dr. Abaseen Yousafzai

Dr. Abaseen Yousafzai is a widely recognized poet, research scholar, literary critic, and column writer in addition to being a noted radio and TV anchor-person. He was born in district lower Dir, village Khanpur in 1964. He did his LLB from Peshawar University in 1986 and Master in Pashto literature in 1988 with distinction. He has done his PhD in Pashto in 2016. He is author of ten books of Pashto and Urdu and is the recipient of about 400 Shields/awards for outstanding literary and social services. He has been given presidential award by Government of Afghanistan for his literary contribution to Pashto literature and won best teacher award from Teaching Staff Association of Islamia College University of Peshawar.

He has been contributing to Pashto language and literature for the last 40 years, regularly to along with different Pashto and Urdu newspapers, literary magazines and radio and TV shows. Being a charismatic personality, Abaseen Yousafza remains and integral part of any literary events across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and throughout the country. He has contributed his critical and research treatises on numerous Pashto and Urdu journals on variety of topics. He has also written forewords to around 200 Pashto and Urdu books.

Mr. Haroon Bacha

Haroon Bacha is a famous singer of Pashto language who has released more than 50 music albums since 1992. He was born on 20th May 1972 in District Sawabi Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He has done his master in Social Work from Social Work department Peshawar University.

Haroon Bacha started his professional career as singer in 1992 from a live television program. He released his first albums in 1996. He has very good understanding of language & literature and that’s why he always chosen best poetry for his music/albums. His fans and listeners mostly included poets and professional writers. His famous albums are “Da Ranguno Makham, “Darman”, Heele, and “Ulas Janan Ka”.

Mr. Zubair Torwali

Hailing from Switzerland of Pakistan- Bahrain, Swat, Mr. Muhammad Zubair aka Zubair Torwali is researcher, author, protector of minority language communities; social, cultural, civil society & human rights activist; writer, columnist, blogger, journalist, voice of unheard, and is the most powerful voice for the rights of all the marginalized linguistic communities of north Pakistan.

 Mr. Torwali founded a local civil society organization—Idara Baraye Taleem-o-Taraqi (IBT) i.e. institute for education and development in 2007 in his native town Swat. Since then he has been successfully leading the organization. It was a CBO with few young men. It was the first civil society organization in upper Swat. Mr. Torwali led it successfully and now the organization has become a powerful platform for the preservation, promotion and revitalization of the endangered languages and cultures. This organization has also been working on education with a more focus on education for girls.

Sadia Qasim Shah

A journalist working with English Language Daily Dawn newspaper and Voice of America Deewa News- She has a Masters of Arts degree in English Literature. She has been writing on Culture, Arts, Archaeology, Tourism and people of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa for more than a decade. She has been actively engaging in different consultations with government bodies on revival and promotion of arts, culture and tourism in the extremism and militancy hit province. She has been Member of National Commission on the Status of Women.

Mr. Shah Saud Toru

Shah Saud Toru Belongs village Toru district Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. He Born in 1984 in a respectable religious family.

He and his family are notable benefactor to the Literature world and providing services in the field of education to the people of Pakistan particularly Pakhtun society.

 His Paternal & Maternal Grandfathers were of great Deoband scholars. His father “israr da Toru”, his Uncle “ Meem Rey Shafaq”, His Father in Law “Professor Tayyib Ullah are great poet and prose writers. His elder brother Dr Syed Hamid Ali Shah and Dr Syed Rashid Ali are also writers and contributing to the domain of education in public sector Universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He has done his master in Social Anthropology from University of Peshawar in 2008. In 2016 he received M. Phil degree from Bacha Khan University Charsadda. His M. Phil project was an “Analysis of the Influencing social factors in Emotional Intelligence”. He investigates the association of emotional intelligence with external social factors i.e., home environment, peer group environment and college environment. This research study add indigence flavor to the existing literature on the issue.

Currently he is doing his PhD research. He is doing his research on Sociological Analysis of family functioning and youth aggressive behavior in Pakhtun society of Pakistan. His Area of Interest is sociology of Family, behavior, Youth and Aggression.  He wrote many research articles published in national and international journals.

He started his professional life in 2009 with an International Organization. throughout his professional life he helped the needy and terrorism affected People of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Since 2017 he is associated with teaching profession in prominent institute of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.  Beside this he is professional consultant and providing trainings to many organizations in the area of research and assessment.
